What can I expect at Ride?
Come prepared to be amazed!
What to Wear
Wear comfortable workout clothing. T-shirts, tank tops with cycling shorts, form-fitting pants or
shorts are recommended.
What should I eat before class?
The key to a healthy body is staying hydrated. Drink water before, during, and after your ride. We recommend eating a light
snack 30 minutes before you ride. We have filtered water to fill your water bottle, or water bottles for purchase.
Come to the studio at least 15 minutes before the class begins. New riders, please let the Welcome Team know you’re new so we can give you a quick Stages Bike 101, hand you pair of cycling shoes in case you don’t have your own and get you properly fitted.
Waiver and Release
We are thrilled you want to take classes at Ride. Fill out a New Rider waiver when you arrive or download it here and bring it with you. *please note, riders under 18 must have their parent or guardian sign the waiver in person!
Shoes – Ride doesn't require clipping into the bike pedals, but we strongly recommend it. Using clips provides a more stable, effective and safe ride and allows you to maximize your cycling experience by recruiting a larger number of muscles increasing efficiency and muscle toning.
Don't have shoes?
Don’t stress! Shoes are on us. If you already have your own cycling shoes, our pedals are SPD compatible. We have cycling shoes available for purchase if you would like your own.
No need to bring locks. We have coded keypad lockers available for use during your class. They are easy to use! Our Welcome Team will be happy to show you and, as a reminder, directions are also inside the locker.
Safety and comfort are a priority! Our Stages Bikes are very simple to set up. There are just 3 easy adjustments on your
1) Seat height
2) Fore/aft seat position
3) Handlebar Height
If you’re new to Ride, please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before the class starts and introduce yourself to the Welcome Team. We’ll be happy to get you set up, record your settings and add them to your Rider profile so you have them for the next ride.
Ride offers cardiovascular training and full-body strength + cardio workouts. Like any new fitness routine, you may want to consult your doctor before starting a new fitness regime. We are happy to answer any questions. We were all new riders at one time!
Before class, make sure to check that all adjustments are tight, your cycling shoes are secure in the pedals, and that the bike’s console, resistance and emergency brake are operational. Our instructors will inspire you to work hard and find the best version of yourself, but please listen to your body and work at a pace that is comfortable for you. Stay hydrated, before, during and after your workout! If you feel any unusual or persistent symptoms, please don’t hesitate to give yourself a break or even stop and seek medical attention.
